Directs and supervises the overall quality of medical services delivered by the treatment providers. Acts as a liaison between all providers and the Company and actively serves as a continuous source of clinical information.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Be available to offices for daily problem solving on guest issues and questions.
• Respond to issues and questions from the providers.
• Possess a familiarity with the general laws regulating the business.
• Follow Company’s incident reporting policies.
• Track issue trends and report findings and suggestions to the Center Director on a monthly basis.
• Ensure consistency in the centers relating to the medical practice.
• Evaluate centers at least once a year for adherence to Company’s medical standards.
• Assist the Ideal Image Development Corporation’s (“IIDC”) Legal Department with lobbying efforts on a multi-state level.  This may include creating relationships with local leaders, board of medicine/nursing/electrologists members and other members of the community.

MIMIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• An active M.D. degree from an accredited U. S. Medical School.
• Any medical clinical specialty acceptable.
• Minimum of five years of post-residency clinical practice experience desired.
• Current unrestricted medical license in the State in which the Center is located.
• An active DEA license.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience with aesthetic lasers highly desirable.

REQUIREMENTS FOR LOCAL MEDICAL DIRECTORS

All centers must have a designated Medical Director, who may or may not perform procedures in the Center. The Medical Director does not need to be regularly on-site unless required by local law.

1. Medical Director must be an active M.D. licensed and living in the jurisdiction where the Center is located.
2. Travel time between Center and physician’s center should be reasonable, as determined by local law, if any, or local preference if no law.
3. Physician may be of any recognized medical specialty, as determined by local law, a dermatologist or plastic surgeon is preferred.
4. The Center Director must interview physician in person. Any on-site physician’s assistants or nurse practitioners may also provide useful insight in the interview process.
5. Candidates meeting requirements and found acceptable must then be interviewed by the Director of Medical Affairs for IIDC, whose approval is required. These interviews may be done by telephone.
6. Prior to interviews, medical director candidates must furnish copies of the following documents to the Center Director and the Director of Medical Affairs at IIDC:
   1. An up-to-date C.V. or resume.
   2. Medical School graduation certificate.
   3. State or Province license, with proof of current status.
   4. If board certification claimed, copy of board certificate.
7. Medical Director must attend IIDC’s Medical Directors Training Program and other programs as may be required to IIDC’s satisfaction.
8. Medical Director Candidates will undergo a professional background check prior to hire or contracting, the results of which must be completely clean.
9. Enter into Center’s form of independent contractor agreement.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF MEDICAL DIRECTOR

1. Responsible for supervision of all treatment providers at the Center.
2. Be readily available by phone at all times the Center is open, and will serve as the primary resource for all medical questions of staff. (Must be on-site at Ideal Image Center if and when required by state law.)
3. Designate equivalent telephone coverage or a locums tenum when unavailable for any reason or alternate supervising physician.
4. Approve and sign laser operator protocols where dictated by state law.
5. Be licensed and living in the state/province where the center(s) is/are located, and be within reasonable distance of an Ideal Image Center.
6. Provide medical license and DEA numbers and signature if and when needed for ordering medical supplies for Center.
7. Receive and review Incident Reports and respond in accordance with company policy.
8. Hold monthly meetings with the providers with a pre-circulated agenda to discuss issues, policies or concerns.
9. Work closely with IIDC’s Director of Medical Affairs.
10. Follow IIDC’s policies and procedures, subject to medical judgment.
11. Medical Director must spend a minimum of four hours, or as required by law, each month in the center to familiarize themselves with the equipment and procedures, review and sign charts for accuracy and completeness, and generally keep up with the medical needs of the business.
12. Medical Director must accept phone calls from Center’s for medical questions and possible emergencies at all times when the center is open to guest, and must be on-site if and when required by law. Medical Director must also designate equivalent telephone coverage, and on-site coverage if required by local law, when unavailable for any reason.
13. Medical Director must participate in conference calls lead by IIDC’s Director of Medical Affairs.

Grant Medical Center, a 645-bed, nationally recognized and growing Level 1 Trauma Center in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an Associate Medical Director of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. This position will lead the development and implementation of the Acute Care Surgery program. Grant’s trauma team admits over 3,500 patients annually drawing from a 46 county region and supports an emergency department with an annual census of over 60,000. Grant has trained trauma specialists dedicated to trauma in orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, and vascular surgery. The Department has multi-detector CAT scans and dedicated ICU/intermediate trauma care/acute care units.
